Nice to Haves * Experience with adtech, connected TV, streaming TV, publisher data, or measurement platforms. * Experience with identity resolution, device graphs, clean rooms, or privacy-safe data matching. * Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, SOC2, or similar compliance frameworks. * Experience with modern data tooling such as Airflow, Dagster, dbt, Kafka, S3, Athena, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar. * Experience with data catalogs, lineage tooling, policy-as-code, access governance, or data observability platforms. * Familiarity with ML data workflows, feature stores, model training data, or permitted use of data for ML systems. ## Description You'll operate as an embedded subject-matter expert within the Engineering organization, reporting high into Engineering and partnering closely with Data Platform, Analytics, Product and Legal teams. You will sit at the intersection of data platform engineering, governance, and compliance, helping Vibe make its data assets easier to understand, safer to use, and ready to scale with premium publishers and enterprise advertisers. This role exists because data is central to everything we do at Vibe. As the company grows, we need to move from startup-speed data practices to a more structured, trusted, and compliant data foundation, without slowing down product and engineering velocity. 3 reasons a great candidate should care: * You'll shape a critical foundation. Data powers Vibe's product, reporting, optimization, ML systems, and partner integrations. You'll help define how that data is governed, accessed, trusted, and used. * The timing is right. We're at the point where informal processes are no longer enough. You'll join before the patterns are fully set and help build the right foundations from the ground up. * You'll have real ownership. This is a senior IC role with strong influence across Engineering. You'll have the mandate to identify gaps, define the roadmap, and implement practical governance and compliance standards that actually work., * Build a clear understanding of Vibe's key data flows, sources of truth, and ownership. * Help define schemas, data contracts, documentation, and standards for how data should be used across the company. * Improve data discoverability so teams can confidently understand what data exists, where it lives, and how to use it. * Establish practical standards around data quality, lineage, observability, and ownership. * Define, maintain and enforce data lifecycle policies * Help teams track data cost and usage Data compliance & privacy * Define and implement data compliance practices aligned with Vibe's business, partners, and regulatory needs. * Partner with Legal, Product, Security, and Engineering to assess the impact of new data sources, partnerships, and use cases. * Help clarify what data can be used, how it can be used, where it should live, and how long it should be retained. * Support Vibe's ability to work confidently with premium publishers, enterprise advertisers, and strategic partners.
