Preferred * Experience in life sciences, biotech, or another regulated industry, with exposure to Clinical Development workflows and clinical data. * Familiarity with GxP, data integrity (ALCOA+), HIPAA, SOX, or SOC2 expectations as they shape system and data design. * Experience with platforms common in clinical and enterprise environments, for example clinical, eTMF, or EDC systems, integration and data platforms, and workflow or document management tooling. * Prior experience as an internal architect or consultant brought in to untangle organically grown systems. ## Description Parabilis is scaling toward a commercial future, and the systems our teams rely on have too often grown one step at a time rather than being designed as coherent wholes. The Solutions Architect exists to change that. This is a senior, cross-functional design role that partners with business teams and internal technology functions to evaluate, design, and deploy streamlined, well-architected workflows and the data foundations beneath them. This role holds design authority for the systems and workflows it builds. It does not direct how any business team performs its work. Instead, it partners with those teams to translate how they need to work into cohesive, maintainable systems that let them add value rather than work around disconnected point solutions. You will be a force multiplier: the person who sees the whole board when everyone else sees their own square., * Owns (design authority): end-to-end architecture, workflow design, and data models for the systems you build. These are yours to decide, with the backing of the Sr. Director of IT. * Partners on: requirements with business stakeholders, and delivery with internal technology teams such as Cloud and Engineering. You coordinate and shape the work; you do not manage their people or their backlogs. * Operates within: the standards each function owns, including Cloud platform and infrastructure standards, Engineering scientific-computing and data-product standards, and IT security and compliance standards. You design inside those rails, not around them., * Partner with business teams to map current-state workflows, surface the root causes of friction, and design cohesive future-state systems rather than incremental patches. * Own the architecture, workflow design, and data management approach for the systems you deliver, ensuring they interoperate cleanly with the broader technology estate. * Translate business needs into clear system and data requirements and translate technical constraints back into terms stakeholders can act on. * Coordinate delivery across internal technology teams (Cloud, Engineering) and external vendors, working within each team's standards while holding the coherence of the whole. * Reduce reliance on disconnected, third-party-built point solutions by designing for the whole system and its interconnections, not one team in isolation. * Establish design patterns, documentation, and data governance practices that make the systems you build maintainable and auditable over their life. * Where systems touch GxP, clinical data integrity, or other regulated processes, design to meet applicable data integrity, validation, and compliance expectations in partnership with QA and IT compliance. * Hand-off delivered systems to their long-term owners with the documentation and design rationale needed to operate and evolve them. ## Related Videos - [Blueprints for Success: Steering a Global Data & AI Architecture](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1577-blueprints-for-success-steering-a-global-data-ai-architecture) - [Thinking Differently - How to Make Money from Cyber Attacks & Cheats](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/745-thinking-differently-how-to-make-money-from-cyber-attacks-cheats) - [Exploring 5 Key Applications of AI Abundance with Blockchain Assurance](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/971-exploring-5-key-applications-of-ai-abundance-with-blockchain-assurance) - [Cyber Security: Small, and Large!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/259-cyber-security-small-and-large) - [Startup Presentation: StorX - Future of Cloud Storage](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1176-startup-presentation-storx-future-of-cloud-storage) - [AI in High-Stakes Industries: Lessons Learned](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100253-ai-in-high-stakes-industries-lessons-learned) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production) - [Best Companies to work for in London: Top 25 Companies in 2023](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/187-best-companies-to-work-for-in-london-top-25-companies-in-2023) - [The Most Popular IT Jobs on the Market](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/376-the-most-popular-it-jobs-on-the-market) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift)
