Working closely with the global network team, you will help define and document the long-term design direction for QRTs trading and enterprise network globally. Key to the role will be collaborating with the team to defining practical standards and ensuring designs are scalable, supportable, instrumented and aligned with business requirements. Success in this role means establishing a clear, network-wide architectural direction, with teams consistently applying agreed and documented standards rather than developing isolated or site-specific solutions. Your Future Role within QRT * Design and maintain documentation for the current-state, target-state and transition plans for QRT's global trading and enterprise networks. * Define architecture standards and reference designs in cooperation with the network teams. * Review significant designs for scalability, resilience, latency, simplicity and operational support. * Document design decisions, dependencies, monitoring requirements and expected operating models. * Define instrumentation standards covering telemetry, monitoring, logging, alerting and dashboards. * Identify and track architectural risks, technical debt and gaps between current and target states. * Apply lessons from project delivery, operational experience and incidents to strengthen future designs. * Build alignment across engineering and business stakeholders, ensuring teams adopt consistent and documented design patterns. ## Related Videos - [Demystifying application networking in the cloud](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/675-demystifying-application-networking-in-the-cloud) - [The Sustainability Race: AI's Promises, Pitfalls and Potential](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100155-the-sustainability-race-ai-s-promises-pitfalls-and-potential) - [Swapping Low Latency Data Storage Under High Load](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/746-swapping-low-latency-data-storage-under-high-load) - [Azure-Well Architected Framework - designing mission critical workloads in practice](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1529-azure-well-architected-framework-designing-mission-critical-workloads-in-practice) - [Building the Nervous System of AI - Michael Kagan (NVIDIA)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2133-building-the-nervous-system-of-ai-michael-kagan-nvidia) - [Unleash the power of 5G in your code: transform your apps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1567-unleash-the-power-of-5g-in-your-code-transform-your-apps) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Basic And Advanced Networking in Dart and Flutter](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/112-basic-and-advanced-networking-in-dart-and-flutter) - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [UK Business Culture and Etiquette](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/326-uk-business-culture-and-etiquette) - [Graph and AI Trends 2026: Why Is AI Running but Not Yet Delivering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/680-graph-and-ai-trends-2026-why-is-ai-running-but-not-yet-delivering) - [Everything a Developer Needs to Know About MCP with Neo4j](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/604-everything-a-developer-needs-to-know-about-mcp-with-neo4j)
