API design is a core skill for you, not an afterthought. * .NET pro: You're strong in C#, ASP.NET and EF Core (PostgreSQL) and bring several years of experience (5-8 years). * Systems thinker: You think in software architecture and resilience, not individual endpoints. You build systems that stay stable under load and in failure scenarios. * Communicator: You explain technical topics clearly and work closely with Product, the Platform teams and partners. * Owner: You take ownership, work in a structured way and handle ambiguity well - especially in a team that's just taking shape. Bonus: Experience with gRPC APIs, micro-services, Azure or GCP, and CI/CD. ## Description * You've gained a solid understanding of the partner domain and our systems. * You implement tasks independently with some guidance and support simpler partner-related work. Month 6 (Performance) * You fully understand the partner domain and work completely independently on partner operations and API adjustments. * You spot inefficiencies and propose concrete solutions. Month 12 (Scale) * You adapt backend and downstream systems to fit API needs and optimize the flows. * You implement the improvements you've identified and raise the solution architecture of the partner domain to a higher level. * You work closely with the Platform teams to continuously improve the implementation. ## Related Videos - [REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and more: A comparison of modern API styles](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100247-rest-graphql-grpc-and-more-a-comparison-of-modern-api-styles) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Tips and Tricks for Working with JSON](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1229-tips-and-tricks-for-working-with-json) - [Building Multi-Tenant ASP.NET Core Applications: Best Practices and Real-World Solutions](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1552-building-multi-tenant-asp-net-core-applications-best-practices-and-real-world-solutions) - [Meet Your New BFF: Backend to Frontend without the Duct Tape](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/682-meet-your-new-bff-backend-to-frontend-without-the-duct-tape) - [Developing ASP.NET Core Microservices with Dapr: A practical guide](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1528-developing-asp-net-core-microservices-with-dapr-a-practical-guide) ## Related Articles - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [The 7 Most Popular Backend Frameworks for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/403-the-7-most-popular-backend-frameworks-for-developers) - [Where To Find Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/396-where-to-find-software-engineering-jobs) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers)
