## About the Role

* Significant experience building and operating backend systems at meaningful production scale.
 * Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, scalable APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
 * A track record of owning complex technical problems from discovery through implementation and production operation.
 * Sound engineering judgement-you know when to improve existing systems, when to simplify, and when not to redesign.
 * Experience with TypeScript is a plus. We're equally excited to meet exceptional engineers from Go, Java, Kotlin, or similar ecosystems who are motivated to work in TypeScript.

## Description

* Improve developer experience through reusable tooling, frameworks, APIs, and automation.
 * Operate and continuously improve distributed production systems with reliability, observability, and maintainability in mind.
 * Partner closely with Product Engineering teams to solve complex technical problems and remove platform bottlenecks.
 * Drive technical initiatives from architecture through implementation, rollout, and operational adoption.
 * Make pragmatic engineering decisions that balance long-term quality with business priorities.
 * Help prepare Choco's platform for the next stage of enterprise-scale growth.
