## About the Role

* 3-5+ years of professional software engineering experience
 * Strong experience with Node.js and backend development
 * Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services
 * Good understanding of databases, ideally PostgreSQL
 * Experience with React and modern front-end development
 * Familiarity with real-time systems such as WebSockets
 * Understanding of asynchronous and event-driven architectures
 * Experience working with CI/CD and modern development workflows
 * Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals
 * Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
 * A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of your work
 * Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a remote team

Nice-to-Haves

 * Experience in crypto or iGaming
 * Background in gaming, gambling, or iGaming platforms
 * Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems
 * Familiarity with game networking, animations, or interactive applications
 * Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
 * Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS
 * Experience with PixiJS or similar rendering/game frameworks
 * Experience working with high-traffic or high-throughput platforms, As a mid-level engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, take increasing ownership, and develop your technical skills in a fast moving environment.

## Description

* Build and maintain scalable backend services supporting player accounts, wallets, games, leaderboards, and other core platform features
 * Develop and optimize Node.js microservices and APIs
 * Work with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
 * Build and maintain real-time functionality using WebSockets, Pub/Sub, and messaging systems
 * Develop performant and interactive web experiences using React
 * Work with PostgreSQL and Redis to build reliable, high-performance data systems
 * Collaborate with product managers, designers, front-end engineers, and DevOps to deliver features from concept through to production
 * Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of the systems you work on
 * Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
 * Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices
 * Help improve our CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and development processes
 * Investigate production issues and contribute to effective, long-term solutions
 * Take ownership of projects and features while working closely with more senior engineers on technical direction
