## About the Role

* Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
 * Minimum one (1) year of tutoring experience in higher education.
 * Minimum one (1) year of experience collaborating with faculty in higher education.
 * Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

## Description

Location: U.S. Coast Guard Academy, 33 Mohegan Avenue, New London, CT 06320
Schedule:

 * Sunday-Thursday, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
 * One additional weekday (3:00 PM - 7:00 PM) for faculty coordination and additional tutoring
 * Services provided during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters

Subjects Covered:

 * Data Analysis & Visualization
 * Principles of Programming
 * Tools for Business Intelligence

Tasks:

 * Conduct individual and group tutoring sessions for cadets.
 * Explain programming concepts, coding techniques, data analysis methods, and software tools.
 * Assist students with assignments, programming projects, and exam preparation.
 * Maintain weekly tutoring records and student attendance documentation.
 * Coordinate weekly with faculty to ensure tutoring aligns with current coursework.
 * Identify students requiring additional academic assistance and communicate concerns to instructors.
 * Provide professional academic support in an on-campus learning environment.
