Strong and effective communication skills to communicate complicated information in a clear and concise manner. * Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, research methods and statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS, and/or R, Python, or a related package * Experience in relational database and/or event tracking database design, development and maintainance * Proficiency in applications such as MS Excel and PowerPoint for presenting summary reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids. * Demonstrates excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, complete projects in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple projects to ensure completion of essential tasks by deadlines. * At least three years of experience in working with large datasets is required, complex datasets preferrable, * Process oriented with great documentation skills * Strong organizational skills. * Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. * Strong knowledge associated with monitoring staffing levels, recruitment and training procedures. * Familiarity with survey programming software such as Qualtrics, Redcap, or other survey tools * Knowledge of clinical and epidemiologic study * Working knowledge of neurology, and/or Parkinson's disease * Specialized knowledge of data security measures. ## Description ** Unless candidate is relocating to San Francisco, local candidates from the bay area encouraged to apply. This position requires a minimum of 2 days onsite. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to staff according to established policies and management guidance. Organizes and directs research analysis activities and studies and serves as an advisor to research professionals. Provides priority setting and work flow analysis. We are seeking a full-time Data Analysis Supervisor to become an integral part of our team. We offer a positive environment with dedicated colleagues in the Department of Neurology at UCSF. The Data Analysis Supervisor will support epidemiological studies aimed at identifying risk and protective factors related to and/or the development of treatments for Parkinson's disease. The Data Analysis Supervisor will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI). The Data Analysis Supervisor will work collaboratively with the PI and research staff, and meets on a weekly basis to ensure research objectives are met. The Data Analysis Supervisor will have the following responsibilities: 1) provide oversight, training and support in statistical and data-related principles to other employees 2) develop data management and analytic plans; 3) design relational databases and dynamic reporting systems to oversee study progress 4) develop and implement data quality control plans and measures 5) integrate and organize study data from various platforms and develop data dictionaries; 6) Oversee/supervise and/or conduct primary statistical analyses, including multivariate and longitudinal data analyses; 7) develop reporting tools to present complex data to lay and scientific audiences 8) provide support in the development of academic products such as abstracts and manuscripts. The Data Analysis Supervisor must be able to multi-task and problem-solve. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
