This as a Labor Hour Subcontract or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. A Selenium Automated Web Tester Developer is a software professional responsible for creating automated tests for web applications using the Selenium framework. Their role includes writing and executing test scripts to simulate user interactions with web browsers, identifying bugs, and ensuring that applications function as intended across different environments. They collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, maintain the test code, and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Skills in programming languages like Java, Python, or C#, and knowledge of testing tools, are essential. This role requires experience and capabilities for Implementing and maintaining a Selenium-based web testing framework. Selenium is a popular, open-source framework that automates web application testing: * Selenium WebDriver: The most commonly used component of Selenium, which allows users to write custom code in their preferred language to interact with the browser * Selenium Grid: Allows users to run tests on different machines, browsers, and operating systems simultaneously * Cross-browser support: Works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and other browsers * Multi-language support: Compatible with many programming languages, including Java, Python, C#, and Ruby * Extensive API: Allows for fine-tuning and customizing test scripts * Large community support: Access to resources, plugins, and community support Selenium can be used to: * Simulate user interactions with a web page * Test complex user interactions and scenarios * Test web applications across different browsers and platforms * Eliminate repetitive manual testing * Conform with Agile and DevOps, which endorse the continuous delivery workflow, The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Business System IT department.
