Utilize SCIBRS and related datasets to develop maps, dashboards, reports, spatial analysis products, and analytical summaries that support crime-data reporting, operational awareness, trend analysis, intelligence-led policing, and executive decision-making. Serve as a bridge between crime-data reporting and geospatial analysis, helping transform statewide crime data into actionable information for SLED leadership, CJIS programs, law enforcement partners, and other authorized stakeholders. Specific Duties * Collect, process, analyze, validate, and maintain spatial and tabular crime data from SCIBRS/NIBRS and related criminal justice datasets. Assist with data quality, completeness reviews, timely reporting, and applicable state and national data collections, including SCIBRS, NIBRS, LEOKA, Use of Force, and Law Enforcement Suicide Data Collection. * Develop geospatial and analytical products using crime and criminal justice data, including maps, web maps, dashboards, charts, analytical layers, spatial summaries, trend reports, and other GIS-based products to support operational awareness, executive reporting, crime analysis, and intelligence-led policing initiatives. * Support routine and special crime-data reporting, including Crime in South Carolina, executive summaries, agency verification reports, county or regional trend products, and ad hoc analytical requests. Interpret data using statistical, spatial, and analytical methods and communicate findings clearly to technical and non technical audiences. * Collaborate with SCIBRS, GIS, CJIS, IT, other SLED units, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to improve data access, data quality, visualization, analysis, reporting, and information sharing.
