Dean, Inc. - **Location:** Washington, DC, United States - **Experience:** Expert - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Data Analysis, Cluster Analysis, Cyber Security, Databases, Data Warehousing, Database Applications, Database Servers, Database Security, Unix Shell, Microsoft SQL Server, System Center Configuration Manager, Performance Tuning, Windows PowerShell, SQL Databases, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, Scripting, Database Optimization, Virtual Environment, Performance Monitor, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Wsus - **Published:** September 5, 2026 - **Apply:** https://jobs.localjobnetwork.com/apply/add/42572324/1 ## About the Role * Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; DoD Secret clearance is required. * Bachelor's degree with 10-12 years of experience * DoD 8750 LAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) * SQL Server Certification * Experience with SQL server administration * Experience with active SQL Server clustering * Scripting and reporting experience * Experience with SQL Server patching * Experience with technologies such as SCCM, WSUS, and virtual environments. * Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools * Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards * Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling * PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills * Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS * Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Impeccable attention to detail ## Description Administers, manages, designs, documents, and evaluates a variety of database management systems; performs complex technical, analytical and professional services involving program/member services, evaluation, database-driven Web sites, office operations support, and problem resolution., * Install and maintain the performance of database servers. * Develop processes for optimizing database security. * Set and maintain database standards. * Manage database access. * Performance tuning of database systems. * Install, upgrade, and manage database applications. * Perform data modeling and optimization, preliminary data received from customer designs, data analysis, report writing from existing data using SQL (Structured Query Language) queries, and creation of new records and information updates as needed. * Responsible for installation and management of software. * Perform installation and maintenance of data into primary and third-party applications provide technical support to and training to members of the team. * Perform feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, and user training in response to user requests.
