## About the Role

* Minimally, candidates will have a bachelors degree in statistics, math, computer science, informatics or economics. Advanced degrees or certification in these subject areas preferred.
 * Broad knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
 * Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages and drawbacks
 * Knowledge using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate and draw insights from large data sets is a plus.
 * Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data driven solutions
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
 * Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus
 * Ability to analyze policies and procedures and be able to recommend improvements
 * Excellent oral and written communication skills
 * Ability to work independently, anticipate problems and initiate corrective actions
 * Ability to effectively prioritize task between a variety of projects and functions
 * Ability to effectively document process and findings
 * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Require/Desire Skills:

 * Tableau Development.
 * Dashboarding / Data Visualization development
 * Operational Application of Statistical Analysis.
 * Experienced with communicating complex insights using data products
 * Agile/Scrum Project Development.
 * SQL.

## Description

Descriptive Reporting

 * Designs, develops, and implements the high quality and effective visualization and reporting solutions for the organization
 * Utilizes visualization best practices to convey information in a concise and consumable manner

Logical Analysis

 * Mines and analyzes data from various sources to supply reliable insights about agency programs.
 * Identifies trends, problems, and potential solutions through data analysis and data communication products.
 * Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques

Data Modeling

 * Translates business needs into technical formats required to describe data models and support data architecting process by serving as a conduit between business users and the enterprise data warehouse.
 * Develops processes and tools to analyze data for accuracy and monitor their models for performance

Statistical Analysis

 * Interprets results from multiple sources using a variety of statistical techniques; builds tools that empower users with resources such regression analysis.
 * Creates predictive analysis models and means of delivering results to uses

General

 * Works with stakeholders throughout the agency to leveraging data to drive business solutions
 * Coordinates with different functional teams to monitor outcomes and ensure adherence to project plans
 * Performs related duties as assigned

Code Dev

 * Uses computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate and draw insights from large data sets.
