This role requires a strong combination of Java architecture, microservices, distributed systems, data engineering, streaming technologies, and cloud modernization experience., * 12+ years of overall software engineering, architecture, or technology experience, including significant experience in architecture/technical leadership roles. * Deep hands-on expertise in Java and Java-based enterprise application architecture. * Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot and enterprise Java frameworks. * Extensive experience designing Microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems. * Strong understanding of enterprise integration and event-driven architecture. * Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or comparable messaging/streaming platforms. * Strong experience in Data Engineering architecture and large-scale data processing. * Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT and batch/real-time data pipelines. * Strong understanding of modern data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed data processing architectures. * Experience with modern data technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, or similar platforms. * Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). * Experience designing cloud-native and highly available distributed solutions. * Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, integration, and performance optimization. * Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application architectures. * Strong knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated deployment, monitoring, and observability. * Solid understanding of enterprise security principles, authentication/authorization, encryption, and secure application design. * Strong understanding of SDLC, architecture governance, and enterprise technology standards. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. * Ability to provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and independently drive complex architecture initiatives. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is not solely an application architect or data architect.
