 * Maintenance of VMware and Windows systems.

 * Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
 * High level of familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix).
 * Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).

Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes.

 * Microsoft Certified: Windows Hybrid Server Administrator or Administrator Associate.
 * CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
 * Bachelor's Degree.

## Description

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Windows System Administrator to join our contract IT team. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of hands-on experience managing Windows environments and a strong understanding of SQL databases. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing our Windows-based infrastructure and supporting SQL systems that are critical to business operations.
Key Responsibilities: * Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).

 * Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows patching.
 * Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
 * Implement, support, and maintain backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery plans.
 * Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server environments.
 * Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts for system automation and reporting.
 * Collaborate with development and application teams to ensure system compatibility and performance.
 * Collaborate with customers, adjacent technical teams, and all levels of management to address systems issues.
 * Maintain security best practices, including system hardening and vulnerability management.
 * Produce documentation for system configurations, procedures, and change controls.
