## About the Role

+ Solid commercial experience (normally 3 years+) as a Software Engineer using Microsoft technologies.
 + Strong experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, MVC, WebForms, Entity Framework, and modern development practices.
 + Experience with VB.Net would be beneficial.
 + Exposure to Blazor and/or Telerik would be advantageous.
 + Experience developing and maintaining web-based applications.
 + Good understanding of source control systems such as Git, including branching and merging strategies.
 + Strong SQL skills, with experience writing efficient and optimised queries.
 + Experience working within an Agile development environment.
 + Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as MSTest, NUnit, or xUnit.
 + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
 + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical concepts clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
 + Collaborative and proactive, with a genuine passion for technology and continuous learning.
 + Able to meet pre-employment screening requirements (right to work, DBS, credit checks, etc.).

 + Translate business and technical requirements into clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
 + Participate in technical design discussions, helping to shape scalable and high-performing solutions.
 + Collaborate with developers, testers, support teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
 + Conduct code reviews and contribute to maintaining high coding standards, security, and best practices.
 + Analyse technical challenges and work with the wider team to deliver effective solutions.
 + Identify and help resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure an excellent user experience.
 + Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and application issues.
 + Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development processes and practices.
 + Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and design workshops.
 + Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
 + Keep up to date with emerging technologies and share knowledge with colleagues across the team.
 + Develop a strong understanding of our systems and support colleagues and users where required.
