## About the Role

We'll be looking for the same technical skills whether mid or senior. Seniors should have more experience in those skills and leadership + mentoring experience.

Strong, recent experience developing applications using modern Java and Spring Boot. Experience with legacy Java versions is advantageous.

Experience developing front-end applications. Experience with Thymeleaf and the GOV.UK Design System is desirable.

Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, including API versioning. Experience with OpenAPI (Swagger) is desirable.

Experience working with relational databases and data access technologies such as SQL, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate. Oracle database experience is desirable.

Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit 5 and mocking frameworks.

Experience writing automated UI regression tests, ideally using Playwright with Java.

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and Helm charts.

Experience working with AWS and Kubernetes.

Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and structured logging using tools such as OpenSearch and Prometheus.

Experience applying software design principles and design patterns to produce maintainable, scalable applications.
