We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated Children's Information Rights and Assurance Coordinator to join our Children's Assurance, Partnerships and Evaluation Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a strong, child-centred system that listens, learns, reviews and adapts to improve outcomes for children, young people and families in the context of Our Children, Our Future., As the Children's Information Rights and Assurance Coordinator, you will lead and coordinate key information rights, assurance and improvement functions across Children's Services. You will play a vital role in ensuring statutory compliance, promoting transparency, supporting service improvement and helping us learn from feedback and experiences. What you will be doing In this role, you will coordinate responses to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, Subject Access Requests (SARs), and complaints, ensuring that all responses are high quality, accurate, and delivered within required timescales. You will monitor compliance with statutory and local performance requirements, working closely with managers and practitioners across Children's Services to support effective information management and regulatory compliance. The role involves analysing complaints, feedback, and information requests to identify themes, learning opportunities, and areas for service improvement, while producing assurance reports and performance information for senior leaders. You will also support inspection readiness activities, lead the proactive publication of information to improve transparency and reduce repeat requests, and help children, young people, and families access information they are entitled to through the SAR process.
