* 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
 * 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
 * 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
 * Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
 * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
 * Hands on experience with generative AI technology, * 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
 * Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems, or experience leading and influencing your team or organization
 * Experience in mentoring, leading, or managing more junior engineers
 * Experience implementing AWS services
 * Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems, or experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
 * Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices

## Description

* Own team-level architecture, providing system-wide design guidance and ensuring solutions are well-designed, extensible, performant, and secure
 * Lead projects requiring the work of multiple engineers; drive technical strategy and make one-way-door technical decisions with sound judgment
 * Design and deliver working software systems spanning the full lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
 * Set and drive adoption of engineering best practices on the team - code organization, clarity, simplicity, error handling, documentation, and operations
 * Solve complex problems with multiple risks and roadblocks using solutions that are as simple as possible; clearly explain problems to others in simple, concise terms
 * Balance speed of delivery with long-term architectural requirements; proactively simplify code and resolve architecture deficiencies
 * Build consensus across the team and related teams when confronted with differing technical viewpoints
 * Actively coach and mentor multiple engineers; grow the team through recruiting, assessing, and providing career guidance
 * Communicate technical designs and decisions effectively in writing for both technical and non-technical audiences
 * Ensure your team has strong operational practices: alarms, telemetry, runbooks, and retrospective/COE processes
 * Obtain/maintain AWS Certifications
 * Occasional travel to customer sites (~20%)
