They will lead large projects ranging from large customer facing rack builds to new facility implementations or facility refreshes. They are expected to be a SME for all day-to-day operations, installations, structured cabling, in-rack power, asset management processes and be a problem solver. The Engineer I should be knowledgeable about the ATCs use of generators, UPSs, chillers, CRACs, in-row coolers, power bus rails, equipment cabinets, fire systems and other data center equipment as applicable., * Serves as an escalation point for ATC Data Center Operations Technicians and Administrators regarding data center facilities and technical issues. * Work with corporate properties and vendors to conduct routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, fire systems, etc. * Work with leadership and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize safety, performance, reliability and efficiency. * Demonstrates an advanced understanding of the ATC monitoring systems as well as all alarms, alerts, and notifications generated. This includes creation of alerts in the monitoring systems and training others on response procedures. * Assists with datacenter facility operations, maintenance, and housekeeping to maintain a state of "tour readiness". * Build and maintain documentation related to all components of the data center operations team. * Ownership or co-ownership of multiple services including: laptop imaging, console server configuration, inventory management, internet circuit management, in-rack power distribution, ATC printers, etc. * Understand all procedures and options for providing connectivity including but not limited to existing Layer 1 layout, Layer 2 switch configurations, ISP cross-connects, and other types of ATC connectivity as applicable. * Advanced troubleshooting of Layer 1 and Layer 2 LAN connectivity issues.
