## About the Role

* Education: PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
 * Experience: Strong background in microscopy, spectroscopy, experimental techniques, and data analysis. Hands-on experience in electron microscopy, materials characterization, and organic/polymer synthesis preferred. Familiarity with space-based research protocols is a plus.
 * Candidate must be open to training in analytical, numerical, simulation, and data analysis methods.

The candidate is also expected to:

 * Be a team player.
 * Be a self-starter.
 * Have a willingness to learn and collaborate with other scientists.
 * Be curious and open to working on interdisciplinary subjects.
 * Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
 * Have experience with documenting studies through presentations or written peer-reviewed publications.

## Description

* Collaborate with project scientists and provide technical expertise.
 * Lead multiple research projects and mentor graduate and undergraduate interns.
 * Contribute to planning future scientific initiatives.
 * Publish research findings and present at conferences.
 * Participate in customer reviews and independent project milestone reviews.
