## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
 * 10 years' experience as a SA in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
 + 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, * Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
 * Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
 * Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
 * Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus

Desired:

 * Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi)
 * Syslog/NxLog
 * Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
 * Scripting experience (Python/Perl)

## Description

* Create, and maintain RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS)
 * Evaluate systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches
 * Perform command line system administration tasks on virtual machines
 * Handle regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality
 * Communicate with developers and DevOps team members to provide system administration support
 * Apply patches and upgrades
 * Troubleshoot server issues
 * Administer customer accounts
 * Deploy monitoring tools
 * Deploy applications and tools
 * Assist with escalated customer tickets
 * Installation and cabling of equipment
