We're looking for senior engineers, someone with solid, well-established experience. You'll work within a horizontal team, where autonomy and shared decision-making are part of the role. What do we need We believe expertise can be gained in many ways, not just through a formal qualification. You'll need to read and write technical documentation, and speak with fluency and precision, as English is the first language for some kaleiders. You'll also need a functional level of Spanish (spoken and written), as many team meetings take place in this language. Earn extra points + Familiarity with Clojure or other functional languages (Scheme, Lisp...). + Knowledge of JavaScript testing (Jest, Cypress...) and end-to-end tests with Playwright. + Interest in solving user problems with new languages and frameworks. + Interest / knowledge in accessibility and responsible development. + Interest / knowledge in design systems and their integration with product development. + Previous experience or genuine interest in open-source projects. + Use of agile methodologies in a professional environment. + Background of collaboration in diverse teams (design, marketing, backend...). + Ability to ask the right questions to help product development. + Care for testing your own code responsibly (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests), to help reduce production incidents. ## Description At Penpot, you'll take part in a range of projects and features across the product, with a strong focus on solving real problems identified by our users: improving their experience through new features, tackling pain points and bugs, and delivering quick wins with a direct impact on their day-to-day work., 1. First Interview (25 min) with the People Team: We'll discuss Kaleidos' principles, the purpose of this role, conditions, benefits, and challenges. 2. You send us your cover letter, which we'll review along with your CV with the selection committee. 3. Cultural Interview with two colleagues from different departments. 4. Technical Interview, where we'll assess the knowledge and skills required for the role, and we'll get to know your experience better. 5. Conversation with our CEO At each stage, we'll give you feedback, whether you move forward or not, and we'd love for you to share your thoughts to help us improve our processes. We might take a little time to respond, especially in the early stages, since our team is small, but we want to treat you with care and kindness. ## Related Videos - [ Evaluating AI models for code comprehension](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1462-evaluating-ai-models-for-code-comprehension) - [How to Create New RxJS Operators](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/683-how-to-create-new-rxjs-operators) - [The Resilience of the World Wide Web](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1281-the-resilience-of-the-world-wide-web) - [Building Collaborative Open Source tools for Developers and Designers - Pablo Ruiz-Muzquiz from Penpot](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1345-building-collaborative-open-source-tools-for-developers-and-designers-pablo-ruiz-muzquiz-from-penpot) - [Streaming AI Responses in Real-Time with SSE in Next.js & NestJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1630-streaming-ai-responses-in-real-time-with-sse-in-next-js-nestjs) - [Rendering Design Software in the Browser at Penpot](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1353-rendering-design-software-in-the-browser-at-penpot) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 131 - AI'm not sure about OSS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/472-dev-digest-131-ai-m-not-sure-about-oss) - [Declarative Design and a fresh take on collaboration with developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/595-declarative-design-and-a-fresh-take-on-collaboration-with-developers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Dev Digest 118 - not a total recall](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/452-dev-digest-118-not-a-total-recall)
