## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
 * Proficiency in .NET (C#) and SQL programming.
 * Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical circuits and mechanical engineering concepts.
 * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing technical documentation.
 * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams., * Experience with VB, image processing, or IoT development.
 * 5+ years working with laboratory automation equipment such as ABI, Tecan, Beckman, Brooks, Biotek, Liconic, Hamilton, Cognex, Thermo, Epson, or SPT.
 * Microsoft SQL certification (helpful, not required).

## Description

* Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that integrate laboratory automation platforms and robotic systems.
 * Program and debug automation software using .NET (C#), SQL, vendor-specific tools, and custom controls for laboratory instruments.
 * Develop software-based diagnostics, monitoring, and reporting tools to assess automation system health and performance.
 * Identify system and process inefficiencies and recommend software-driven enhancements to improve reliability and throughput.

System Support & Troubleshooting

 * Provide software support for automated instrumentation, equipment, custom hardware add-ons, and related systems.
 * Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues impacting automated laboratory operations.
 * Support ongoing maintenance, updates, and optimization of automation software and systems.
 * Participate in a rotating on-call schedule once fully trained.

Validation, Documentation & Collaboration

 * Perform and document IQ/OQ/PQ activities for automated instrumentation, systems, and software components.
 * Create clear, concise technical documentation for software, systems, and procedures.
 * Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to define specifications, evaluate compatibility, and support system installations.
 * Stay current on emerging technologies in automation, robotics, software engineering, and laboratory systems.
