Independently leads complex engagements end-to-end; coaches mid-level FDEs; owns security, compliance, and integration patterns within engagements. FD Engineer3-4 years of relevant experience. Independently delivers within scoped engagements with light senior support; growing leadership scope across integration, code quality, and customer hand-over. Associate FD EngineerEarly-career with strong potential, demonstrated drive, and a portfolio of shipped projects or repos. Pairs closely with Senior / Principal FDEs; structured 12-18 month coaching path to full FD Engineer. ## Description We are looking for Forward-Deployed Engineers to embed directly with our enterprise customers and ship production-grade AI deployments end-to-end. This is not traditional consulting and not a sales-engineering role - you will write the code that makes AI actually run inside the customer's business. You Will * work with the customer's data and systems and own the technical outcome of every engagement * be part of a small, senior team building one of the first true AI-native delivery models in the region * turn every deployment you ship into a reusable Reference Solution that compounds across the next 10 customers * work in a remote and hybrid-friendly model - we do not require you to sit on customer site full-time. You are accountable for proactive customer touchpoints, structured checkpoints, and independent visibility on engagement health * work directly with founders, the Product Architects, the Solution Architects, and the Forward-Deployed Consultants - no middle management * be coached by experienced enterprise software founders and former IBM Technology Thought Leaders Responsibilities * Working alongside the Forward-Deployed Consultant on assigned customer engagements, owning end-to-end technical delivery from kickoff to production handover * Designing and building agentic AI workflows, integrations, and pipelines inside the customer's environment - LLM orchestration, retrieval, evals, observability * Integrating with customer systems (CRM, ERP, data warehouse, internal APIs, SSO, security tooling) - taking ownership of the "dirty work" that blocks most enterprise AI pilots * Partnering with the customer's IT, security, and compliance teams to clear deployment blockers and ship to production safely * Running your own proactive engagement cadence - weekly checkpoints, written status, surfacing blockers before they become escalations * Conducting knowledge transfer at the end of every engagement so the customer's own engineers can run and extend what you built * Feeding patterns, agents, and reusable code back to the Solution Architect team - every recurring build must become a templatised asset * White-boarding architectural decisions and turning them into production-grade code, not slideware * Troubleshooting incidents in the field; protecting the customer's trust at every turn ## Related Videos - [Agentic employees in world's most downloaded FinTech app](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100123-agentic-employees-in-world-s-most-downloaded-fintech-app) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) - [Keeping applications secure by evolving OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100152-keeping-applications-secure-by-evolving-oauth-2-0-and-openid-connect) - [ Evaluating AI models for code comprehension](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1462-evaluating-ai-models-for-code-comprehension) - [Streaming AI Responses in Real-Time with SSE in Next.js & NestJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1630-streaming-ai-responses-in-real-time-with-sse-in-next-js-nestjs) - [Next Level Enterprise Architecture: Modular, Flexible, Scalable, Multichannel and AI-Ready?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1017-next-level-enterprise-architecture-modular-flexible-scalable-multichannel-and-ai-ready) ## Related Articles - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [How Much FAANG Companies Actually Pay Software Engineers in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/230-how-much-faang-companies-actually-pay-software-engineers-in-2025) - [What’s the Difference between a Junior, Mid, and Senior Developer?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/238-what-s-the-difference-between-a-junior-mid-and-senior-developer) - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers)
