You're the first voice our customers - our clients and interpreters - hear. The organizations we serve count on us to fill appointments accurately and on time. The interpreters who deliver those services count on us just as much - for clear assignments, timely answers, and a team that has their back. Scheduling is both an art and a science. Every scheduler develops their own rhythm, but the team relies on shared standards so shift changes are seamless and nothing slips. When you do this job well, clients get served, interpreters get supported, and the rest of the business runs. This is also an entry point into GLC. The skills you build here - client communication, problem-solving under pressure, knowing our business from the inside - open doors to other roles on the team. We promote from within when we can, and we invest in people who show up, learn the work, and grow with us. Core Responsibilities * Communicate with clients and interpreters by phone, email, fax, and in person - clearly, professionally, and promptly * Enter, process, and update appointments in our web-based scheduling platform within each client's requested turnaround time * Assign appointment requests to the right interpreter based on client, location, language, and specialty requirements * Know your clients and your interpreters - their locations, their preferences, and what makes each one different * Complete Opening, Shift Change, and Closing Checklists; when something can't be finished, hand it off cleanly to the next shift * Assist on active cases when needed * Be the connector across GLC. Get clients and interpreters to the right person - HR, recruiting, payroll, billing, and more - quickly and with enough context that their question gets answered well. You don't have to be the expert in every area, just informed enough to route well. ## Related Videos - [A guide for effective talent acquisition and sustainable integration of international employees](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1081-a-guide-for-effective-talent-acquisition-and-sustainable-integration-of-international-employees) - [In-depth .NET Azure Functions: Isolated mode, performance and durable AI agents](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100207-in-depth-net-azure-functions-isolated-mode-performance-and-durable-ai-agents) - [Developing the Rich Text Editor for DeepL.com](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1172-developing-the-rich-text-editor-for-deepl-com) - [Demografie nutzen um jedem Bewerber das passende Angebot zu machen!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/836-demografie-nutzen-um-jedem-bewerber-das-passende-angebot-zu-machen) - [From Syntax to Singularity: AI’s Impact on Developer Roles](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/900-from-syntax-to-singularity-ai-s-impact-on-developer-roles) - [Building Talent Acquisitions Teams](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1496-building-talent-acquisitions-teams) ## Related Articles - [Spanish Business Culture and Etiquette](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/353-spanish-business-culture-and-etiquette) - [UK Business Culture and Etiquette](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/326-uk-business-culture-and-etiquette) - [Starter Kit For Job Applications For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/7-starter-kit-for-job-applications-for-developers) - [Tips on mastering remote job interviews](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/23-tips-on-mastering-remote-job-interviews) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Remote Work: Best Practices for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/315-remote-work-best-practices-for-developers)
