* Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience
 * Proven ability to scope and deliver technical infrastructure work
 * Experience operating on-premises or private-cloud environments
 * Strong ownership of end-user availability
 * Strong Linux system administration and scripting skills
 * Experience with Bash and Python
 * Hands-on experience deploying services with Infrastructure-as-Code
 * Practical understanding of cloud foundations, including virtualisation, virtual networks, block storage, monitoring and observability
 * Experience using Git, CI or testing pipelines and container tools
 * Clear communication when supporting users
 * Legal right to work in the UK

## Description

 * Develop and deploy private and public cloud services for AI compute
 * Operate and extend OpenStack-based services
 * Automate deployment with infrastructure-as-code
 * Improve observability across the fleet
 * Benchmark, validate and optimise systems spanning Graphcore hardware, servers, switches and storage
 * Keep critical infrastructure available
 * Help pre-release hardware and software become reliable cloud services
 * Shape how internal users and customers access large-scale AI systems
 * Work with Software Platform, Datacentre Operations, Product Development, Engineering and QA
 * Take responsibility for unclear problems and make progress without waiting for perfect inputs
 * Use metrics, benchmarks, user impact and system behaviour to support decisions
 * Surface risks early and own corrective actions when systems need attention
