## About the Role

* Billing & RCM Experience: Experience in billing, RCM support, or medical office administration.
 * VOB Knowledge: Working knowledge of Verification of Benefits for US healthcare insurance.
 * Spreadsheet Proficiency: Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including working through large data sets and reconciliations.
 * Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy when investigating and correcting data discrepancies.
 * HIPAA Familiarity: Prior exposure to HIPAA compliance and patient data confidentiality.
 * Tooling: Familiar with Slack and Google Suite.

Bonus Points if:

 * You have experience with OpenPM, Zendesk, or major payer portals (e.g., Availity, UHC, Meritain, Wellfleet).
 * You're familiar with AI tools like ChatGPT and Glean; Claude experience is a plus.
 * You have prior experience supporting a US healthcare or behavioral-health organization.

## Description

We're hiring a Healthcare Reports and Data Validation Specialist to own recurring reporting and data reconciliation for a healthcare organization scaling its billing and revenue-cycle operations - you'll dig into billing systems and payer records to catch discrepancies, clean up verification-of-benefits (VOB) sync issues, and keep leadership informed on trends and automation gaps as the team's manual VOB work is phased out in favor of higher-value reporting and analysis.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

 * Recurring Reporting: Own recurring reporting for the billing/RCM team, keeping outputs accurate and on schedule.
 * Data Reconciliation: Review data discrepancies across billing systems and payer records, and reconcile them to a clean source of truth.
 * VOB Sync Cleanup: Identify records where automated verification of benefits did not sync correctly and correct them.
 * Issue Escalation: Flag payer-side or automation issues behind recurring discrepancies and escalate trends to the leadership team.
 * Documentation & Communication: Document findings and cleanup steps, coordinate with internal teams in Slack, and send detailed end-of-day updates.
 * Automation Partnership: Partner with the RCM product team on automation-gap monitoring as manual VOB work is phased out.
 * Expanded Reporting Ownership: Take on higher-value reporting and analysis for leadership as sync processes stabilize.
