The individual will provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solutions that align with HMRC governance, security, accessibility, and compliance requirements. Primary Objectives * Lead end-to-end Salesforce solution development and delivery. * Design and develop scalable applications using Salesforce best practices. * Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Salesforce developers. * Build and support citizen-facing and partner-facing Experience Cloud portals. * Ensure compliance with HMRC security, data protection, and accessibility standards. * Design and implement integrations with internal and third-party systems. * Drive DevOps, CI/CD, code quality, and release management practices. * Support architectural decisions and contribute to solution design workshops. Technical Design & Development * Lead technical delivery of Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud. * Develop custom solutions using: * Apex * Visualforce (where applicable) * Flow Automation * Design reusable components and framework-based solutions. * Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans., * Design and develop customer and partner portals using Salesforce Experience Cloud. * Implement secure authentication and authorization models. * Configure sharing rules, role hierarchies, and external user access. * Develop branded digital experiences compliant with HMRC standards. * Configure and customize: * Case Management * Omni-Channel * Knowledge Base * Entitlements * Implement workflow automation and service efficiency improvements. * Develop solutions supporting: * Lead Management * Opportunity Management * Account & Contact Management * Forecasting * Implement business process automation and user productivity enhancements. Integration & Technical Architecture * Design integrations using: * REST APIs * SOAP APIs * Platform Events * MuleSoft (preferred) * Develop asynchronous integration frameworks using: * Future Methods * Batch Apex * Scheduled Apex Technical Leadership * Lead code reviews and enforce development standards. * Mentor and support junior and mid-level Salesforce developers. * Participate in solution architecture reviews and design authority forums. * Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Scrum Teams.
