AWS and Serverless Development Candidates should have a good understanding of: * AWS Lambda and serverless application development. * Designing applications using a serverless architecture. * AWS services and how they can be combined to build scalable solutions. * Event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing. * API-based integrations and service-to-service communication. * Managing application configuration, environments and deployments within AWS. * Cloud security and appropriate access-control principles. * Monitoring, logging and troubleshooting cloud-based applications. * Designing solutions for reliability, scalability and cost efficiency. Desirable technical skills * Experience with additional AWS services such as API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch and IAM. * Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly AWS CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform. * Experience with Node.js and the wider TypeScript ecosystem. * Experience designing and developing RESTful or GraphQL APIs. * Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. * Experience with containerisation and Docker. * Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems. * Familiarity with security best practices for cloud-based applications. * Experience with application monitoring, observability, logging and performance optimisation. * Experience working with large-scale or public-facing digital services. * Experience working within highly regulated or security-conscious environments. ## Description We are looking for talented Backend Developers to join a digital delivery team working on services that make a real difference to people across the UK.
