## About the Role

* Strong experience in C# .NET software development, including web-based applications
 * Sound understanding of object-oriented design and software development methodologies
 * Experience across the full software development lifecycle
 * Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and testing practices
 * Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices
 * Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban
 * Understanding of microservices architecture
 * Full UK Security Check (SC) clearance

Desirable Skills:

 * Experience within the defence or electronic warfare sectors
 * Familiarity with WPF, WinForms and Visual Studio
 * Experience using DOORS, Cameo or Azure DevOps
 * Knowledge of C++ development

## Description

Our client, a leading organisation within the defence and security sector, is seeking a C# .NET Software Engineer to support the development of advanced electronic warfare and mission systems in Luton. This contract role offers the opportunity to work within a mature software development environment, delivering innovative defence technology with a high degree of autonomy., * Develop robust applications using C# .NET within a Windows environment

 * Take ownership of complex tasks throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to integration, testing and delivery
 * Apply object-oriented design principles and software verification and validation techniques
 * Develop and maintain web-based applications
 * Contribute to automated testing frameworks and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices
 * Work collaboratively with a skilled development team while delivering tasks independently and with minimal supervision
