## About the Role

* Strong experience delivering network automation across enterprise infrastructure (non-cloud focused).
 * Hands-on expertise with Python, Ansible and Terraform.
 * Experience implementing or contributing to network automation transformation programmes.
 * Knowledge of centralised network management and orchestration platforms, such as Cisco Catalyst Center.
 * Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including routing, switching and network security.
 * Experience developing reusable automation frameworks, templates and standards.
 * CCNP certification or equivalent commercial experience.
 * Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
 * Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance.

## Description

* Lead the move from manual network management to automated infrastructure, driving best practice across the network estate.
 * Design, build and implement automation solutions across enterprise LAN, WAN and datacentre environments.
 * Develop and maintain automation using Python, Ansible and Terraform.
 * Improve operational efficiency through automated provisioning, configuration management and monitoring.
 * Manage and optimise centralised network management platforms, including Cisco Catalyst Center.
 * Collaborate with architects, engineers and key stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient network solutions.
 * Mentor colleagues, encourage knowledge sharing and help embed modern engineering practices across the team.
 * Support a highly available environment through participation in an on-call rota and operational support when required.
