## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
 * 5+ years of development experience with strongly-typed languages, with an emphasis on Rust, Go, and TypeScript.
 * Strong understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
 * Experience with database design and performance tuning / query optimisation.
 * Familiar with testing frameworks, ideally relevant to Rust, Go, and TypeScript.
 * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Preferred Skills

 * Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
 * Experience with: Vue JS framework, Quasar JS library, Capacitor JS, Axum (Rust), PostgreSQL, Fiber (Go).
 * Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
 * Experienced in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and proficient with TDD practices.
 * Prior experience within a manufacturing environment.
 * Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.

## Description

* Design, develop, and maintain performant and reliable systems.
 * Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in Rust and TypeScript.
 * Collaborate with others to define and deliver new features.
 * Optimise existing backend systems for maximum speed and scalability.
 * Diagnose, troubleshoot, and address technical issues.
 * Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design.
 * Advocate and implement best practices in testing methodologies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).
 * Design and develop automated tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of our systems.
 * Collaborate with the team to maintain a high standard of quality through continuous testing and code reviews.
