## About the Role

In London, with hybrid working, they're looking to hire an experienced Kafka / Middleware Engineer with good Kafka experience, to drive the growth of this area.

Working in a small, agile team, you'll have real ownership over your work and be regarding as a technical expert.

You'll have the opportunity to work across tools such as Kafka, Keycloak and Vault and drive projects across areas such as secrets management and load balancing.

Requirements:

 * Excellent background as a middleware engineer, ideally in a 24/7 trading / finance environment.
 * SRE / production support knowledge
 * Experience working with distributed systems
 * A good understanding of networking, latency, and failover strategy.
 * Knowledge of tools such as Keycloak and Vault
 * Experience with capacity management, performance tuning, and system scaling.
 * Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
 * Any knowledge of DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Cloud and automation would be ideal
