## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience managing and administering macOS environments at scale.
 * Hands-on expertise with Jamf Pro for macOS device management.
 * Good knowledge of Windows environments, including Active Directory, SCCM and Group Policy.
 * Experience managing mobile devices using platforms such as Workspace ONE / AirWatch.
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly across complex infrastructure environments.
 * Understanding of technical security and how security requirements influence end-user device design and operation.
 * Experience supporting infrastructure services across a large user base.
 * Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, alerting and preventative maintenance.
 * Experience delivering planned infrastructure changes within formal change control processes.
 * Comfortable collaborating across technical teams and sharing knowledge with other engineers.
 * SC security clearance is required for the role.

## Description

* Take technical ownership of the macOS environment, designing and delivering solutions across end-user devices.
 * Manage and enhance macOS devices using Jamf Pro and wider mobile device management tooling.
 * Work closely with Technical Architects, Principal Engineers and other infrastructure specialists to develop the end-user computing platform.
 * Act as a technical escalation point for live services, investigating complex issues and carrying out root cause analysis.
 * Produce clear technical design, build and infrastructure documentation for macOS solutions.
 * Support Windows and mobile environments where required, helping wider engineering and first-line support teams resolve technical challenges.
 * Maintain and continuously improve device platforms, including monitoring, alerting and preventative maintenance.
 * Deliver controlled infrastructure changes while following established change management processes.
 * Share technical knowledge across the team and contribute to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment., * Work on digital infrastructure supporting high-profile services used across UK government.
 * Play a key role in shaping and improving a large-scale macOS and end-user computing environment.
 * Collaborate with experienced Architects, Principal Engineers and multidisciplinary technology teams.
 * Build your expertise across macOS, Windows, mobile and modern device-management technologies.
