 * Software Development Life Cycle : knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structuredmethodologyfor delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace
 * Software Integration Engineering : knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop andmaintaininterfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages
 * Software Product Design/Architecture : knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into software product design
 * Software Product Technical Knowledge : knowledge of technical aspects of a software product; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of software products
 * Software Product Testing : knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence tostatedrequirements

Top Candidates May Have:

 * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, SoftwareEngineeringor related degree (selected candidates must complete their degree by their start date)

 * Experience through internships, personal projects, research, hackathons, student organizations, or coursework is highly valued

## Description

* Contribute to the design, development, implementation, testing, and support of AI-powered solutions that enable Caterpillar's digital platforms, customer experiences, dealer ecosystems, and enterprise business operations
 * Identify, evaluate, and de-risk emerging technologies by creating Proofs of Technology, Proofs of Concept, and documenting the implementation patterns
 * Designed and implemented enterprise microservices
 * Enable API technologies and deploy Microsoft Fabric patterns while leveraging .Net skills to create AI agents
 * Mobile and web development
 * User interface and user experience design activities; including wire framing, prototyping, working with a complex design system, applying design thinking methodologies, creating conceptual designs and creating production-level designs
 * Develop data pipelines code in python as well as hands on investigating and resolving software defects through code or through data modification python scripts using SageMaker notebooks
 * Use generative AI tools to assist in efficient software development, information gathering, and defect triaging, as well as hands on development of additional generative AI tools
