* Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
 * Experience:
 * Level 1 & 2 Engineers: 1-7 years of experience.
 * Senior Engineers: 5+ years of experience.
 * Certifications:
 * Level 1 & 2: FE preferred.
 * Senior: FE required, PE preferred.
 * Proficiency in MicroStation or similar software.
 * Strong knowledge of roadway design principles, standards, and transportation project delivery., * Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

 * Civil engineering: 3 years (Required)
 * Transportation Engineering: 3 years (Preferred)

Language:

License/Certification:

 * Drivers License (Required)

## Description

* Lead roadway design tasks for transportation projects, including roadway geometry, grading, maintenance of traffic, signing and pavement markings, drainage coordination, and related roadway improvements.
 * Prepare and review engineering drawings, design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, and other project deliverables.
 * Develop project work plans and coordinate roadway design activities with other engineering disciplines.
 * Lead and mentor engineers and design staff, providing technical direction and reviewing work for quality and accuracy.
 * Participate in design reviews and develop practical solutions to complex roadway design and constructability issues.
 * Coordinate with project managers, clients, agencies, subconsultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
 * Support quality control and ensure designs comply with applicable MDOT, AASHTO, and other relevant design standards.
