Preferred Skills and Experience * Advanced experience remediating Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and tagged PDF content, including forms, tables, reading order, alternate text, color contrast, and document structure. * Experience with screen readers, Adobe Acrobat Pro accessibility tools, PAC or comparable PDF validation tools, and Microsoft Office accessibility checkers. * Experience translating ACR and VPAT findings into acquisition or remediation recommendations. * Experience coaching testers or supporting students in Trusted Tester courses and certification examinations. * Federal Government or DHS accessibility testing experience. Education Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent certifications. Advanced degree (MS/PhD) strongly preferred. The DHS Office of the Chief Information Officer, Experience and Accessibility Directorate (EAD) sets the Department's vision and strategic direction for ensuring that all Information and Communications Technology (ICT) procured, developed, maintained, or used by DHS is accessible to employees and customers with disabilities.
