* 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
 * Strong commercial experience with Python.
 * Experience building and operating production backend systems at scale.
 * Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
 * Experience developing APIs and distributed systems.
 * Strong knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
 * Experience with testing, CI/CD, version control, and modern development workflows.
 * Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
 * Experience with Docker and containerised environments.
 * Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to engineering.
 * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

 * Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
 * Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.
 * Familiarity with event-driven architectures and technologies such as Kafka.
 * Experience working with AI/ML, data platforms, or high-volume systems.
 * Experience in a startup or high-growth technology environment.
