This role sits at the intersection of computer vision, navigation, geospatial data, embedded systems and engineering delivery. You will manage a small-to-medium engineering team working across algorithm development, production software, integration and testing. In this role you are expected to remain technically engaged, with a strong emphasis on architecture, design review, technical coaching and delivery leadership. This is an opportunity to lead a technically strong team working on real-world mapping and navigation challenges. You will influence product direction, shape the architecture of advanced mapping and localisation systems, and help turn research-grade algorithms into reliable engineering products., Leadership & People Management * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers. * Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, including career development planning. * Champion professional growth and skills development. * Foster an inclusive, supportive, and high-performing team culture. Technical Leadership * Provide technical direction across software design, architecture, and implementation. * Ensure adherence to best practices in coding standards, version control, and DevOps. * Guide technology selection and system integration.
