## About the Role

* The candidate should have an existing, proven knowledge of the following:
 * The systems development lifecycle, from design through to test
 * The development processes (e.g. requirements, design, specification, implementation, acceptance testing), and development tools, * A team working culture
 * Innovation and problem-solving skills, with a holistic view to implementation
 * Interpersonal and communication skills. In particular, the candidate will show the confidence to liaise with customer and user representatives to discuss systems technical issues.
 * Awareness of Risk Management, * The development processes (e.g. requirements, design, specification, implementation, acceptance testing), and development tools
 * The design and implementation of database tables
 * Implementation of database packages using the Structured Query Language (SQL)
 * Database design and modelling
 * Performance monitoring and enhancement of an Oracle database
 * Database administration
 * Monitoring the Oracle website for updates and engaging with Oracle to request patches
 * Horizon scanning for vulnerabilities
 * Configuring Windows/Linux/RHEL operating systems
 * Creating bespoke applications and automated deployment using PowerShell

This exciting systems & software programme covers many disciplines including design, development, installation, implementation, integration, acceptance, training and logistics support - it is run solely from our clients Christchurch site for delivery to their customer at various locations.
