Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Software Configuration Analyst DevOps: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or in a related field a with a minimum of 8 years relevant; or Masters Degree with 6 years of relevant experience; may consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree. - Experience with ClearCase (CC) / ClearQuest (CQ), Jira and/or Git Hub with the CM process. - Experience supporting scripting languages and database management. - Experience with performing software builds and maintaining procedures. - The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance. Preferred Qualifications: - Masters Degree in relevant field. - Ability to work professionally to tight deadlines while producing quality work and to communicate to the team effectively. - Extensive experience with base ClearCase (CC) / ClearQuest(CQ), performing: administrator tasks such as creating VOB, directory structures in CC, create CQ database for programs, queries, add rules and users in both tools. - CM software architect, building, merging/inheriting and establishing new branching versioning, documentation processing and maintain a dedicated build machine to eliminate variable coding differences. - Scripting experience. Familiar with Python, Perl, or Batch scripts for Windows. - Perform system level Operational Program (OP), with combined binaries with currently single development branching. - Perform SharePoint administration such as creating program directory structures, granting access, limiting access to general users, creating excel metric reports for capturing SW CCB agendas, minutes, document releases, archives & directories and internal links to documentation numbering and status. - Working knowledge of the following tools; STM Pro, Share Point, Design Sync for VHDL coding, PDM or PLM, Visio or Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Rational tool sets. - Past experience with Hardware CM and Program Configuration Control Boards including data management CDRL/SDRL submittals via IDE environments. - Active Interim or Secret Clearance ## Description We are looking for you to join our team based within the Mission Systems Sector onsite at our San Diego, CA location as a Principal or Sr. Principal Software Configuration Analyst. The ideal candidate will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation efforts on a multidisciplinary research team collaborating with engineers and/or vendors in the planning, design, development, and utilization of modernized systems for software development. What You'll Get to Do: Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use. May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. Software (SW) Configuration Management (CM) analysts are responsible for developing and maintaining software and other technological aspects on a DoD program.
