## About the Role

* Extensive experience of DevOps tooling, containers and containerisation
 * Communication: Able to speak to stakeholders and be able to transfer business requirements into technical implementation
 * Facilitate information/business knowledge: Able to act as a business SME and understand what the business needs and how to support this into an efficient DevOps team.
 * Stakeholder Management: Able to negotiate and influence with stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly., * 5+ Years as a DevOps Engineer
 * Strong knowledgeinAWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
 * Practical experienceusing Terraform, Kubernetes and Helm
 * Knowledge of Java(spring) is ideal
 * Extensive experience of cloud computing, and best practices/emerging technologies
 * Experienced with multiple eco-system databases, architecture and integrations
 * Knowledge of GitLab, Bash scripting, ArgoCD, Kafka or Liquibase is beneficial but not a must-have
 * Embracing automation and implement CI/CD to improve quality and minimise downtime
 * Proactive monitoring and effective incident response to detect and efficiently resolve issues
 * Focussing on continuous improvement, fast feedback, high empathy and trust
 * Defining ways of working that aligns to standards and best practice., * Must have willingness to travel
 * Must have the right to work in the UK
 * Must be able to attain a UK Security Clearance

## Description

Responsible for implementing and supporting improvements, efficiency, enhancing software quality, and accelerate delivery times. Having the shared responsibility between development/operations with a focus on people, process, tolls that take a unified customer/user focus. In a multi-disciplinary team with Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, UCD etc. all working together to achieve a common goal of applying best practice in DevOps.
