## About the Role

* 4-5 years hands-on experience working with Java and/or Kotlin
 * Commercial experience with AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP.
 * Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and development automation.
 * Strong understanding of software testing (unit, integration, component, end-to-end and performance testing).
 * Strong understanding of backend development, RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
 * Experience across the JVM ecosystem and comfortable working with live production systems.

* Designing, building and maintaining scalable APIs, cloud-native microservices and backend services.
 * Developing distributed and event-driven systems, using messaging and asynchronous processing.
 * Helping shape technical and architectural decisions, balancing long-term improvements with immediate delivery needs.
 * Supporting live production systems, troubleshooting issues and helping to improve reliability and operational resilience.
 * Collaborating with engineers, architects, product teams and business stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.
 * Mentoring and supporting other engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous development.
