## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
 * Significant experience in engineering with a focus on the maritime defence sector.
 * Experience with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for marine systems and equipment. In particular, experience designing for class approval against Lloyds Register or DNV-GL is beneficial.
 * Strong knowledge of maritime defence technologies.
 * Proven experience throughout the design, development, and testing stages of maritime platforms.
 * A working knowledge of theSystems Modelling Language (SysML)

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead in the development and integration of complex maritime defence systems throughout the full engineering lifecycle., * Elicit,analyseand manage stakeholder needsandcraft verifiable system requirements with quality attributes and acceptance criteria.

 * Work closely withsubject matterexperts (SMEs)to decomposeuser requirements intosystem anddesign requirements.
 * Establishandmaintaintraceability betweenuserrequirements, systemdesignand testing to ensure alignment throughout thefullVerification andValidationlifecycle.
 * Developsystemcontext, use cases, functional,physicalandlogical architecturesand interface controldocumentsthat align with maritime defence requirements.
 * Define Verification plans, teststrategiesand test cases.Ensure system elements developed across different engineeringdisciplines are effectively integrated into a coherent system solution.
 * Facilitate communication andsharedunderstandingacrossmultidisciplinary engineering teamsby applyinglifecycle frameworkssuch as the V-Model.
 * Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring the reliability and resilience of deployed systems. Specifically, FMEA and FTA.
 * Ensure that developed systems comply with relevant maritime defence standards and regulations.
 * Provide Mentoring to Junior members of the team to support career development.
