## About the Role

DevOpsUK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team of consultants. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, using your expertise to help them design, implement, and maintain their infrastructure and deployment pipelines. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be expected to take on leadership roles, mentor and guide other team members, and help drive technical decisions., * At least 10 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role

 * Strong knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
 * Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
 * Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
 * Proficiency in at least one programming language (such as Python, Ruby, or Go)
 * Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
 * Familiarity with agile development methodologies
 * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 * Experience in a leadership or mentorship role

* Work with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements
 * Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure and deployment pipelines
 * Maintain and optimize infrastructure as code
 * Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployments
 * Monitor and optimize system performance and availability
 * Debug and troubleshoot production issues
 * Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
 * Continuously improve and automate processes and systems
 * Mentor and guide other team members
 * Take on leadership roles and help drive technical decisions
