## About the Role

* Strong experience building and operating backend or distributed systems in production
 * Solid coding skills (ideally Python and/or Node.js)
 * Experience designing service-oriented architectures and APIs
 * Hands-on exposure to cloud environments (Azure preferred)
 * Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code
 * Strong technical judgement and a pragmatic approach to trade-offs
 * Confidence in reviewing and guiding the work of other engineers
 * Comfortable working in a hands-on, senior individual contributor role, * Strong technical ownership with the ability to shape system design

## Description

You'll work closely with technical leadership to design and build the backend services powering a global platform. These systems handle device connectivity, real-time communication, and operational telemetry and must perform reliably in environments where uptime matters.

You'll spend most of your time building production-grade services, while also contributing to architecture, reviewing engineering work, and helping guide technical standards across distributed teams and partners.

What You'll Be Doing

 * Designing, building, and shipping scalable backend services
 * Owning complex problems across APIs, data flows, and system integration
 * Contributing to platform architecture and technical decision-making
 * Improving reliability, observability, and operational readiness
 * Reviewing code and designs from internal teams and external partners
 * Ensuring systems are secure, maintainable, and production-ready
 * Working with cloud-native tooling (Azure, containers, infrastructure as code)
