## About the Role

* Strong, recent experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot
 * Experience developing front-end applications - Thymeleaf and GOV.UK Design System desirable
 * Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, including API versioning
 * Experience with OpenAPI / Swagger
 * Strong knowledge of SQL, Spring Data JPA and Hibernate
 * Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit 5 and mocking frameworks
 * Experience with automated UI regression testing, ideally Playwright with Java
 * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and Helm
 * Experience working with AWS and Kubernetes
 * Understanding of observability, monitoring and structured logging, ideally using OpenSearch and Prometheus
 * Strong understanding of software design principles and design patterns, For senior candidates, we're also looking for experience of technical leadership, mentoring and supporting other developers, alongside the ability to make sound technical decisions and contribute to the wider development approach.
