## About the Role

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 * Knowledge of relevant programming language(s) (e.g., Python, SQL, Apps Script).
 * Technical expertise in building cloud-based ETL pipelines and managing API integrations.
 * Experience in handling large data sets and awareness of data quality issues.
 * Familiarity with clinical data management systems.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 * Ability to meet deadlines.
 * Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to lead and direct the work of others.
 * Possess problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
 * May require U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a T3 Secret clearance.

## Description

* Architect and sustain the Office of Medical Education's enterprise data infrastructure.
 * Migrate current rudimentary processes (AppScript/Google Sheets) to a scalable cloud-based lakehouse (e.g., BigQuery) to resolve critical data capacity limits.
 * Develop and maintain ETL pipelines within Google Cloud to ingest and unify data from disparate sources (SIS, Canvas LMS, Learning Space, and future-state MHS GENESIS metadata).
 * Oversee data management, programming, processes, and data analysis activities for research protocols, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), sponsor, and regulatory requirements.
 * Lead delivery of reporting and analytical solutions to stakeholders, supporting high-volume learning analytics, Accreditation QA/QI, and Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME).
 * Develop future-state AI integrations using Learning Space and Gemini APIs for automated learner feedback.
 * Manage and mentor technical staff.
 * Collaborate cross-functionally with research, technical, clinical, and development teams to leverage technical and scientific information.
 * May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Supervisory Responsibilities

 * Direct Supervisor: Direct authority to make decisions on the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, starting salaries and merit increases; conduct employee performance evaluations and directs work activities.
