Additional Skills * Deep understanding of Programming Languages, Algorithms, and Data Analysis. * Understanding of Bioinformatics, Genetics, Biology. * Enjoy working in a highly collaborative and fast-pace environment on high-impact, open source software development. Prior experience in health informatics is a plus. * Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS). * Experience with BWA, R, Picard, and GATK and other Bioinformatics tools. * Experience with Scala, AWS, NoSql, Statistics, big data, Apache Spark. * Experience with Java RESTful services, JavaScript, and XML; user and design documentation to support open-source products. * Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies. ## Description The Senior Bioinformatics Software Developer II will have demonstrated knowledge and interest in Software Development, Bioinformatics, Data Engineering, Data Science and AI. They will architect, implement, and support the following: data pipelines, database management, analysis tools, and user interfaces for large-scale bioinformatics software solutions. They will provide technical leadership to the development team, drive key technical decisions, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, mentor junior developers and play a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives.
