The SSP SpE team consists of Navy SSP program offices, defense industry contractors, Navy Surface Warfare Center organizations, University Affiliated Research Centers, and DoE labs. The nation is investing in a new strategic weapon system that will be designed for, and integrated on, the US Columbia and UK Dreadnought Class submarines currently under construction. As a BAE Systems Cybersecurity Systems Engineer, you will oversee the technical performance of end-to-end systems engineering, integration, verification, test, and product support functions in support of advanced programs under the direction, and in-collaboration with, BAE Systems, Systems Engineering Management leadership and our SSP customer. \n \n \nThe primary objective for this role is to provide sound engineering principles and disciplined guidance to ensure successful execution of SpE plans and goals while communicating effectively with internal and external team of technical experts and junior engineers/technicians.\n \n \nKey roles and responsibilities:\n * Develop a close and trusted professional relationship with customers at all levels. \n * Ensure all responsible projects are executed within approved program management processes and contractual requirements. \n * Inform internal program managers and technical leaders about technical and programmatic risks and opportunities. \n * Coordinate with stakeholders, including Government personnel, contractors, and vendors, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. \n * Leverage Model Based Systems Engineering at various design phases of a program to facilitate in identification of potential hazards and threats within a system for early risk mitigation. \n * Identify system security threats, assess and mitigate risk and communicate risk management and mitigation strategies. \n * Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
